HERNDON, Va., July 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- K12 Inc. has announced that it will offer a free subscription to LearnBop, with access through December 31, 2016, for students in grades 3-12 who enroll in one of K12s many online public school partner programs. LearnBop is a self-paced solution that simulates a one-on-one, personalized math tutoring experience. New and returning students at the participating online public schools can use LearnBop to prepare for a stronger start to the school year through the use of the award-winning program.
"On average, students can lose up to two months of math proficiency over the summer," says Bharani Rajakumar, LearnBop CEO. "However, with LearnBop, students are able to master math concepts which gives them the ability to prevent summer learning loss and ensure a stronger start to the new school year."
Leveraging intelligent, adaptive teaching software, LearnBop does more than just test a students' ability to do math—it instructs them step-by-step just as a teacher would, enabling them to solve problems on their own.
The mobile, self-paced program has received numerous industry accolades, including two prestigious U.S. Distance Learning Association awards for "Outstanding Program" and "Outstanding Leadership." LearnBop was also a finalist for the 2016 EdTech Digest eLearning Solutions Award as well as a finalist for the Association of American Publishers' prestigious Revere Award.
The standard online curriculum offered by K12 Inc. partner schools includes courses in language arts/English, math, science, history, world languages, art and music for elementary and middle school students, and a variety of standard, elective and Advanced Placement® courses for high school students.
State-certified teachers provide instruction, guidance and support, and regularly interact with students and parents via email, web-based classrooms, online discussions, phone and face-to-face meetings. LearnBop can be used alongside the regular math curriculum to build math skills or prepare for high-level exams.
